FAQ's for mini mach
& Adventure Gathering
WHERE'S MINI MACH?
Both Mini Mach and the Adventure Gathering are held at Nick's small holding on the outskirts of Abercegir.
Tyntwll SY20 8NR
WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MINI MACH & THE ADVENTURER GATHERING?
Mini-Mach is more of a celebration about riding bikes, chilling out, listening to really sensational music. We do a mass-ride out and there are DIY routes to follow but the parties are very special. The Adventure Gathering is more workshop based, participating in Q&A's with experts, travellers, motorbike visionaries, some of whom we know. Definitely partying in the evening but check out Steph's off-road options and also
got to be worth a punt!
CAN I JUST TURN UP ON THE DAY?
Sadly not, it's a private event by advance ticket only.
WHERE ARE MY TICKETS?
Physical tickets aren't being used for MACH or the Adventure Gathering. There will be a guest list and you will need to bring your booking confirmation and proof of ID in order to gain entry to the event.

COMING & GOING FROM THE EVENT
Each guest will be given a wrist band on arrival, which they must present to people on the gate when re-entering the festival.
ARE THERE TOILETS & SHOWERS?
The site is on an underground bore-hole so water is scarce, but we do have 3 small showers so if you are truly desperate for a clean up, book a time with Caroline and we'll sort it:)
IS THE FOOD EXPENSIVE?
Quite the opposite. Compared to normal festival food we are super cheap and no compromise on quality. You get the best evening meals and tea, coffee and cakes available on demand. BREAKFAST will be also supplied by us on site, bacon baps are known as our speciality, also ham & cheese croissants, teas and coffees all served up by Caroline's Breakfast Ladies
CAN I COOK MY OWN FOOD?
Yes you can as long as you don't singe the grass, so please bring a heat resistant pad to rest your stove on - "leave no trace". In fact we encourage you bringing a controlled 'kitchen' - more like "proper camping and a lot of fun! We have a masterclass from Lisa (www.2ridetheworld.com) Thomas to show you how.
WHAT ABOUT THE DRINK?
Think around £4 for a pint of incredible micro-brewed local
beer. £5 for a really great cocktail. The best cider you've ever tasted for £4. We charge nice prices not like the normal
festivals out there, we'll be as economical with our pricing as
we can be.
CAN I BUY A DAY TICKET?
In a word, no, sorry - come for 2 or 3 days, it obviously includes your camping pitch but both Mini Mach and the Adventure Gathering are small events with limited ticket numbers, therefore we are focusing on a relatively small number of full weekend tickets.
I'M A NOVICE RIDER CAN I JOIN IN NICK'S SECRET RIDES?
This is perfect for you! We'll give you a map, stuff with which you can programme your satnav and you're away. We'll even mark the cool cafes where you can have a munch as well as super locations to visit. We're a friendly bunch here at MACH/Adventure World! Everyone is welcome to come along. The Secret Rides are ridden with mates or solo but at your own pace, enjoy!
I'M IN A BAND, CAN WE PLAY AT MACH?
Please send an email across to firstname.lastname@example.org, he's our man picking the talent so will check you guys out and talk more.
CAN I BUY STUFF ON MY CARD?
Of course. There will be a PayPal and card option, although cash is best for us as the internet can be slow. There are two cash points in Machynlleth so please stock up before you get to us, or dash over there during the festival if you need to grab some more.
WHAT'S THE CAMPSITE LIKE?
Can I bring my camper van?
I'd be lying if I said the field was flat. If you do slide out of your tent I just hope you've got a warm belly with beer and grub!
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Sadly we can't host your four-legged friend as the field is normally used by cattle and herds of sheep and sheep don't like dogs in the same way dogs like sheep!
CAN I BRING MY CHILD?
'Are they well behaved?'
'As long as they are over 12 they're welcome to attend.'
CAN WE BOOK A TRADE STAND?
There aren't trade stands at the MACH festivals, it's all about the riding, music and generally having a relaxed time in the Welsh countryside.
WHEN DOES THE FESTIVAL SLEEP?
Being relatively small and so close to town we have local restrictions. Also we are a 'riding festival' so we need to keep our heads in shape! So the festivities start early and finish around 12.30am - in our minds we can party with abandon Thursday and Friday, a bit less Saturday ready for our ride home on the Sunday.
